This black and white photograph shows Lake Erie with the amusement park, Cedar Point, in the background. I love the way the black and white gives it a vintage feel, taking me back to my childhood trips to the amusement park. I haven’t been there in years.
It is January, but the warm days last week have me feeling like it should be spring. Soon we will be seeing these brightly colored flowers, but for now winter is showing its face again.

We have had a very mild winter so I can’t complain too much, but this cold weather is making me excited for spring. This picture lifts my spirits a bit.

Red skies at night, sailor’s delight! My husband and I went out on Thanksgiving evening to do some photography, and this shot of his is one of my favorites from that night. The blended colors in the sky look like a painting to me.

I like the way the colors turned out for this photograph. I’d like to say I planned it that way, but this was an accident. Earlier I had set up a little place in my living room to do some macro photography with peacock feathers, but I had already finished the project. I started to clean up my area and as I moved things around, I just happened to notice the way the sun light from my door hit the feathers. A tiny shift in position and different lighting created a whole new dramatic look. I quickly pulled my tripod and camera back out and started my little photo shoot all over again. I ended up getting some of my favorite peacock feather images.

As an artist that primarily works in a semi-realistic style, abstract art is not typically something I do. However, every now and then I’ll take an abstract photograph that really catches my eye. This is one that I liked.
